Best all around

How about a REAL comforter.

Excellent product, but be prepared for the size

The quality of this duvet cover is excellent. The fabric feels great, it looks beautiful on the bed, and I have no complaints whatsoever about the materials or construction.

The problem is the engineering assumption that one person can routinely remove and reinstall a duvet cover this large. On an Alaskan King, this thing is enormous. I’ve tried the burrito method, tying the corners from inside the cover, shaking and repositioning it, and every other technique I can find. Getting the duvet properly centered inside the cover by yourself is extraordinarily difficult. Even with all four corners tied, mine can still end up several inches off-center.

In my opinion, changing an Alaskan King duvet cover properly is realistically a two-person job. I wish Alaskan King Bed Company offered a true, one-piece comforter in these dimensions for customers who don’t want to deal with a removable duvet cover.

Excellent product. Excellent quality. But prospective buyers should understand the practical reality of changing a duvet cover this large before purchasing one.

Worth Every Penny

We purchased this duvet after our old duvet from another company finally wore out (and we were tired of the excessive duvet comforter ties/buttons). It's been two years and it is still holding up well! Somehow it breathes during the summer months which is a MUST since we live in Texas, and is weighted enough to keep us warm during the few months when it cools down. It is able to manage the weight of two large adults, a wild toddler, and four large dogs.

Long Lasting Comforter

We’ve been using this duvet comforter for about two years now, and it’s honestly been fantastic. It’s incredibly soft and cozy without feeling too heavy, which is perfect since we live in Texas. Somehow it manages to stay comfortable year-round—warm enough in cooler months but still breathable when it’s hot. Even after all this time, it’s held up really well and still feels just as high-quality as when we first got it. Definitely one of our favorite purchases for our family bed.
